Cassie McConnell

On saturday the 23 of April (St Georges day Apparently) my cat had be put down.
She was put to sleep by the vet at the old age of 19 and 1/2.
My parents had to take her to the vet becasue she had not eaten all day, she would not walk at all and she was having difficulty breathing.
Apparently she died happy and with my parent and two vets by her side.
The two vets were there because in her later years she had developed a legacy of violence at the vets, so they had to start using padding when they were handeling her in fear of being gummed and shreded to death.
She had been in decline for a few months now and it was all due to a case of renal falure wich meant that she was not getting enogh food into her system due to a poorly working digestive system. This had meant that she had been losing weight rapidly and was eating like a horse. (if cats can do that). In the last few months she had lost control of her legs and stopped washing altogether. This meant she was dirty and that my dad had to wash her. She did not like it one bit.
The house though now seems empty and thier is nothing to create noise even though she slept all day she was still an impossing figure.
May she rest happily
