Another Year At Macmillan But new friends

At the moment as youve probabilly guessed from previous posts i am spending another year at Macmillan. This si to help me improve my grades. One of the bonuses of staying at Macmillan is the new and old mates. Last time when I created the post about my freinds I ommitted a few so here is the amended list and also the n00bs I have befrended since last time.

Simon Swinbank
He is a gamer. Known him for about 5 years. Nice person. Not a bad Magic player and was on of the D and D group for the worlds largest dungeon (we never finished it but Richard B Iddrick the monk was my second more Legendary character). He is in the same boat as Cral for work. Check out his blog at

Sis to Esther. Nice person too. Very weird but not as weird as me. Resitting last year but not in Art. She is way better than me at art because she can do more than just draw.

Think that is his name. Same type of comic geek as me (never read many but knows all the story lines) friends with Sarah.

Libby
Newish person met her last year due to Dominic. Seems nice but likes the wierd side of manga (Hentai) sick. Have not talked much but she seems Ok if a bit wired.

Paul Crosby
Went to his 18th. Was a good laugh. A geek from the club. Hes a mate on myspace. View his own profile on his site. He can do himself better than me as he knows himself better.

Crissy McQueeny
Brother of Anthony who was in my tutor group. Friendly giant best describes him. He never sits on the floor unless told to. Has the worst taste in music ever (crapy techno and wierd funny songs like the clown rap! but thats just my opinon).

A gamer runs vamp with the help of another Simon (now siwiny). Sick kind of humour like yankee. good laugh and loves shiny cards he like a reincarnated Magpie.

Sk8ing

I am going at some point going to buy myself a skateboard. This is to help me get fit and also for something more active to learn rather than the skoolage of little kids at games like Magic.

I have the typical skater views and also the clothes all i need now is a kick ass board.

I want one with a Russian type pattern but after looking on the net I might have to get one of my mates to paint it. I cannot remeber who did it but I do remember it was a rock solid Death Lord surrounded by flames.

I want one with loads of soldiers on it or the USSR flag (hammer and sickle). I find the more and more i try to hide it the more I become that commie at the club (games) that everyone likes. I so hope everyone in the future who goes the games club is invoved in a comunist inqirery. That would be sweet.

The board would be a good form of transport for me. Cheap simple and easy. It is also just slightly worse than cycling to work (stupid bloody office workers get a real job) in the healthy side of it. It looks much cooler though.

The pattern that i want would compliment the Russian flag in our house and the Soviet national anthem as a ringtone on my phone. Aslo my collection of Atomica comics (no longer being printed in the UK after only 4 issues).

I am now a high level Computer geek.

I can do some Visual basic code (virus' and other usefull things)

I have no social life (not one that is not geeky)

I also have found why I like gaming so much

and also rasing my own intelegence by a few notches and giving my ego a good boost. Since playing Magic my maths have improved and my vocabulary of lexis has also improved. The new set Ravnica is the bomb. 1It has been a long time since a decent set came out and this one has potential written all over it. So far my average spending on this new set must be about £50. thank god for my job

My laptop is my new best friend. It is fast reliable and also can play games and run DVD's the ultiamte in entertainment. I has stopped me bieng realy bored this half term. I have now been playing theif 2 for about 799 minutes.

So all I can say is long Live the geek or nerd of gamer

I have also got back into Warhammer 40k and have chosen the comisars army of choice the Tyranid horde.

Got a problem throw more of them at it a good technique and it compliments my army strategy of choice. Up close and personal is my method of choice.

My Schizo internet connection

At the moment I personally dont have the internet. But hark I hear you cry how can you blog without the net.

Well it all very complex LOL

Basically I have a wireless laptop. Other people have wireless connections. And they dont put passwords on them so I log on to there PC and twock some bandwidth. Not the most legal thing to do but a PC without a password is an invitation for mischeaf.

So at the moment I am at work perusing the web on about a 1MB connection for free. Neat Eh

Oh the joys of watching Flash movies in bed for free. Looking at ebay till the early morn and of course chatting on messenger (what else does a man need).

The Web Of Fate

Fate weaves a delicate and intricate web of lies and relationships throught the rich tapestries that are our lives.

Fate is that ficckle spider who for fun will stroon ruin over one and wealth over another. Near the end of our days we break free of he web and start to learn how to sew our own. We eventually decide our own fate and she can do nothing to stop us. We are the bullysome kids in the playground annoying the large spider in the corner until its web is in tatters. we know the next day the web will be redone and even more intricate than before.

This is a metaphor for how we live our lives and also the way in which when we change the web of life seems to be distroyed. Any slight vibration on the web draws a spider like a moth to a flame. Fate that evil queen of spiders is ready to defend her home at any cost even if it means a change.

This is very deep an need lots of understanding but I think that the web is a better design for the way in which life goes rather than the wheel of fortune as it is less comprehensible to man for its reality.

Dear Padre

It has been five months since my last game of D+D. I need to the thrill of the kill again, the fun of the role playing and the joy of cot death related jokes.
I need another not to silly game of D+D or another role playing game.
Cthuloo looks mightily tempting at the moment and it might add a bit more of HP Lovecraft fun to our group.
All I remember is the good old of Dave losing the DM screen, Cral losing Dice, Ollie being the token cleric, me being the token Monk and Yankee always being late and Dale even later. Matty Matty Matty the only wizard Ill ever really remembers being decent and good at rolling for diplomacy. Simon dying as the human meat shield of doom.

The only reason for the comment is Dave recent post and it got me thinking how much fun we had at the time. I hope that in the future we could start again and adventure more as Tobias Ravenshold and his merry men or as Richard b Iddrick. Such characters and so many memoirs for life.
Every Saturday and a random weekday spent in the Worlds largest Dungeon. We never did finish it.

Being back at college

As you will all know by now I am back at college.

I am OK so far and all the stuff I am learning is OK and kind of like revision.

The one thing I have found since going back to colleg is am tired all the time(again)

I still go to bed at midnight and I know wake up at 6:45 (so I can get a shower). Thios means I only get 6 hours of sleep a night. I cna function on just 6 hours but because I am at college i am realy tired.

Yesterday is a good example. I get home and start to sort out some stuff before I go out to the games club. I sit on my bed and think how comfy it is, the next thing I know is its 7:30pm when I wake up. I have missed the games club by an hour and a half and am so tired you would not belive it. I also never got to sort out the things I needed to.

I thought it was something to do with my diet but by the looks of it it is do with the learning i do during the day at college. This could be the start of a strnage year at macmillan.

I am now predicted to up all my grades by one. So know I should be able to get:

Computing B

English Lang/Lit C

Biology D

This is a drastic improvement from the D, E, E I got last year.

I am also appling for UCAS still and in the process of organising a week placement at a Primary school that I can add to my personal statement.
